It was made in the Warring States Period (475BC - 221BC). Unearthed in Xingrong of Hebei Province in 1959, it measures 28.3 cm long and 10.3 cm wide and is kept in the Museum of Chinese History. This mould, cast by iron, was reusable. Invented in the Warring States Period, it was used for producing iron wares of the same specification.
