Playing with a slingshot is a game favored by boys. To make a slingshot, you should choose a "Y" shaped stick, or bend an iron bar into a "Y" shape, tie an elastic strap to the two prongs, cut the strap in the middle, and fix a small thin leather piece to connect the strap. When you play the game, roll some earth into a small ball, put the ball onto the leather piece, and use the earth ball to shoot birds or coins. In the Qing Dynasty, there were peddlers specially selling slingshots in the streets of Beijing. It took the children only several coins to buy one. |
