The famous scenic spot Mount Cangshan and Erhai Lake is located in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The crystal waters of Erhai Lake and the snow-capped Mount Cangshan radiate with each other. Thus the scene is commonly described as “Silver Cangshan and Jade Erhai”.

Mount Cangshan, also named Diancangshan, is famous for its verdant vegetations. It consists of 19 peaks with an average altitude of 3500m and extends 42 km from the north to the south and 20km from the east to the west. Its natural attractions include snow-capped peaks, flowing clouds and mists and murmuring brooks. Many lakes can be found in the summits and 18 streams influx eastward into the Erhai Lake, cutting through hills and peaks.

Erhai Lake, one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China and a highland lake with enchanting sceneries, is named after the ear-shaped contour of the lake. Islets and beaches are dotted in the lake like pearls. In the dusk, the limpid water reflects the gold round shiny moon, which enhances the attractiveness of the lake.

Snow of Mount Cangshan and Moon of Erhai Lake, together with wind of the Lower Pass as well as flowers of the Upper Pass, are the most enchanting scenes in Dali. And the Erhai Park at the south tip of the lake enjoys the best view of the landscape of Mount Cangshan and Erhai Lake.
