This was a roll of calligraphy work, copying four poems from Du Fu's Ode to Autumn. Zhao Mengfu accomplished this outstanding work at the age of twenty-nine. With the work executed in a carefree manner, a scholarly bearing was revealed. Renowned for its graceful and fluent style, the handwriting by Zhao Mengfu exercised great influence over later generations of both the Ming and Qing dynasties.
