From the mid-Ming Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty, many literati seal-engraving schools emerged one by one. The Zhejiang School, led by Ding Jing, was very influential. The seal was for Ding Jing's own use and was distinctively clothed with various inscriptions on all six surfaces. Several seal-engraving traditions are synthetically reflected in these characters. They reveal the beauty of both shape and spirit in the seal art.
