The more solidly painted snow on the tree tops and the stones in the creek bring the work alive while retaining the overall tone. Against the backdrop of the sky, painted with light ink wash, the creek and the white snow mountain, officials cloaked in red robes make determined progress on donkeys led by grooms to the depth of the mountains. |
