By Jingdezhen Kiln of the Yongzheng Reign, Qing Dynasty In order to bring about an auspicious and jubilant atmosphere, the designs of bats and peaches signifying fortune and longevity were usually applied to porcelain produced during the periods of Yongzheng and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. However, the quantity of these porcelain is quite small and the Shanghai Museum kept only one blue and white vase in olive shape. It is the only existing glaze ware with both bat and peach images. |
