Longquan Kiln

Longquan Kiln
Longquan Kilns' sites were distributed in fairly vast areas in southwestern Zhejiang Province.

By Jingdezhen Kiln of the Qianlong Reign, Qing Dynasty
Height: 24.6cm

As one of the innovative methods, parts of this big bottle, including neck, belly and base, were made separately and later fixed together. As a result, both the neck and belly can circle around the center 360 degrees. As a representative of the highest level achieved by porcelain industry during the Reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, this precious vase is endowed with many attractive features. For example, the designs of flowers, plantain leaves and bats were all painted in their appropriate colors, including rouge red and mineral red. Besides, its painted images are all clearly visible from the open work.

On reverse of this vase there are six Chinese characters in seal script: "Manufactured during the Reign of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty".
