By Jingdezhen Kiln of the Qianlong Reign, Qing Dynasty
Height: 43.8cm
Mouth diameter: 13.6cm
Base diameter: 16.1cm

The mouth, neck, shoulder, body and foot of the vase are all octagonal. From the top to the bottom, there are six sections of decorative patterns separated by six bands of blue rectangular spirals. The eight immortals Zhang Guolao, Lan Caihe, Cao Guojiu, Lv Dongbing, Han Zhongli, Li Tieguai, Han Xiangzi, and He Xiangu are legendary celestials described in a widely disseminated Chinese folk fairytale. They were painted on the eight faces of the body, crossing the sea each in their own way. The rest of the vase is decorated with auspicious designs such as "Shou" (longevity) characters, lotuses, dragons, bats and others. "Made during the Qianlong Reign of the Qing" in seal script is inscribed at the bottom.
