Qianlong Period, Qing Dynasty The cup has a wide mouth, hornless dragon-shaped ears and a loop leg, with dragon patterns carved in intaglio on the front and at the back. The saucer is lotus petal-shaped, with each petal engraved with hornless dragons. The flat surface of the saucer is engraved with two dragons playing with a pearl and there's a wasp-waisted lotus base erected in the center of the saucer for holding the cup support. There're four beast-face legs at the bottom of the cup. Both the cup and the saucer bear the seal-script date mark of "Qianlong Nian Zhi" (made in Qianlong Period) at the center of the bottom. |
