The cylindrical brushpot intricately carved in deep relief and in openwork with three immortals admiring a scroll, standing before a pavilion set in a forest of pine and phoenix trees, with the characters FAN TONG XIAN LU inscribed on a rock, which describes the scene of the Taoist Paradise, with a waterfall on the reverse and another group of figures bearing tribute, approaching a footbridge spanning a flowing river, the top of the mouth rim incised with a twenty-eight character inscription from a Qianlong poem, followed by the inscription, QIANLONG YIMAO YUTI, and the seal, De, "virtue", all raised on five ruyi-form scroll feet, the stone of a rich mottled spinach-green tone.
