Ming Dynasty The slightly flattened cup is supported on the inverted head of a homed mythical beast with curly feathers extending up from the base, with four small dragons carved in shallow relief, gambolling around the sides amidst incised interlocking scrolls, the semi-translucent stone of pale grey tone suffused with areas of russet, cream and black. |
