Chen Sheng and Wu Guang were famous leaders of the Chinese peasants against intolerable oppression of the Qin. Together they led the first large-scale peasant uprising in Chinese history at the end of Qin Dynasty (300 B.C.). In 210 B.C., following the death of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of Qin, his second son, Hu Hai, succeeded to the throne. Also known as Emperor Qin |
