Feathered Figure

Feathered Figure
The feathered figure is the flying figure in fables in the shape of winged human being.

Early in the 8th century B. C., Zhao Shudai went to the Jin State to seek shelter. Later on, his political status in the Jin State ascended swimmingly. By the late Spring and Autumn Period, he had become one of the six ministers that had the vastest ligeance and most powerful forces.

The site of ancient Jinyang city was the early enfeoffment of Zhao Shudai. In the northern outskirts, namely, present west Jinsheng village in the southern suburb of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, the tomb of Zhao Shudai was discovered. A total of 3421 pieces of burial articles were unearthed, including almost all the utensils needed in the daily life at that time. The excavation of the cultural relics has exhibited in front of us the rich content of the aristocratic life in the Spring and Autumn Period.
