This allusion is excerpted from the History of the Song Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279), there was a philosopher named Shao Yong. He was poor and lived in a tumble-down hut. But he was quite at ease in poverty and lived happily. He called himself "Mister Peace and Happiness" and his hut "The Cosy Nest". Later, a comfortable and quiet residence came to be called "the cosy nest". |
