Ming Dynasty With pedestal feet, the octafoil-shaped dishes are made of wood, red lacquered, with interlocking lotus branches traced in gold on the rim, comprising four groups of two lotus flowers each. The lines are smooth and the drawings are intricate. The dishes are brown lacquered on the outside with gold tracings along the mouth and the foot rim. |
