Qing Dynasty
Length: 13.5cm
Width: 2cm

The hairpin is made of gold, with one ruby embedded in each end. The thicker end is carved into a squirrel and tree branches that are inlaid with one tourmaline and two pearls. The ingeniously-designed gold hairpin is a relatively simple design of all gem-inlaid gold hair ornaments of the Qing imperial court.
