Qing Dynasty
Overall height: 29cm
Height of pot: 7.8cm
Diameter of pot: 12.6cm

The pot is hollow inside and has a folded edge, deflated belly and splayed base. The edge is decorated with intertwining peach branches and single-unit lotus flowers hammered out against the background of fish roe patterns. Each side of the pot has a polished area with cloud pattern corners and a traditional auspicious picture symbolizing longevity wishes is inside each area. The peach tree is made of gold, with the branches welded to the trunk. The receptacles of the peach flowers are made of thin gold sheets and the petals are inlaid with rubies, and the pistils are made of pearls. All leaves are engraved with veins. The peaches are engraved with fish roe patterns and round "shou" characters. On top of the branches, there are four butterflies fastened with gold coils. The butterflies are so lifelike that they look like flying.
