The finial is in three layers, with two eastern pearls in between. The bottom layer is shaped like a round plate adorned with four gold filigree head-raising dragons separated by eastern pearls. The middle layer is adorned with four gold filigree head-bowing dragons separated by eastern pearls. And the top layer is a big ruby supported by gold lotus flowers. The purplish red ruby is sparkling and crystal-clear.

A finial is the ornament on top of the Qing-Dynasty emperor's crown.
