Qing Dynasty The pot is hollow inside and in the shape of a fingered citron. The landscape is a branch of plum flowers. The branches are made of copper wires wound with green silk threads and the plum flowers are made of white jade, with copper wires wrapped in red threads serving as pistils. The silver calyxes are inlaid with rose quartz and white jade as the buds. In addition, a few chrysanthemum flowers carved out of dyed ivory are interspersed among the plum flowers. A red sandalwood pedestal with carved openwork is at the bottom. This miniature landscape is bright in color and elegant in style. What's especially worth mentioning is the attention paid to every detail, making the work a masterpiece. |
