Tongzhi Period, Qing Dynasty
Girth: 139cm

The string of court beads contains 108 eastern pearls, four coral knots and one coral fotou. There are three strings of jinian with coral beads and tourmaline pendants supported by silver filigree works. The fotou, supported by a silver filigree receptacle inlaid with kingfisher feathers, is stringed with a yellow ribbon that connects with the beiyun (an ornament on a string of court beads meant to be hung at the back of the wearer), which has a small jade pendant with a silver filigree receptacle. There are a total of 14 units of seed pearls adorning the string of court beads.

This string of court beads was for the exclusive use of Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty.
