Qing Dynasty The string of court beads contains 108 jadeite beads and four amethyst knots. The three strings of jinian are made up of 10 coral beads each, with a lapis lazuli pendant at the bottom. The gilt-silver knotting plate is covered with kingfisher feathers and inlaid with tourmaline, and has a tourmaline pendant. This string of court beads used to be worn by the Qing-Dynasty emperor or empress to go with an informal dress or a ritual dress. |
