The handle of the hairpin is designed in floral patterns involving techniques like gold filigree and gem inlay. The gold filigree orchid flowers are decorated with kingfisher feathers, and the lingzhi creations are carved out of white jade and coral. The two gold filigree katydids on the leaves are inlaid with sapphires at the tail, and the flowers are made of opals, dark brown crystals and pearls.

Made of precious materials and vividly shaped, this hairpin is full of life.
