Qing Dynasty Sitting straight on a gold filigree lotus seat, the Buddha wears strings of precious stones over his shoulders, and holds a turquoise treasure vase with both hands, with gem and pearl-inlaid bracelets around his arms. There's a red sandalwood Sumeru base at the bottom, with the wasp waist decorated with jade patterns of treasure flowers and eight treasures. There are jade railings on the base, with the balusters inlaid with turquoises and pearls. This statue of Buddha is elegant and dignified and involves exquisite inlay techniques, best representing the gem-inlaid artworks of the Qing Dynasty. |
