The Royal Cemetery Site of Yin Ruins is the location of Shang mausoleums area and lieu for sacrifice, which marks the beginning of emperor mausoleum system in China. It is so far the earliest and most complete imperial burial ground known in China. The Royal Cemetery Site, the Palace and Ancestral Temple Site and the Shang City Site at Huanbei together constitute the Yin Ruins. |
