Jin Yong (Louis Cha) is originally from Haining of Zhejiang Province. Due to the influential novelist's facile imagination and unique vision, his works bear the essence of classical wuxia novels. A lot of his novels have been adapted into movies, TV plays and stage dramas for countless times, including the Legend of Condor Heroes, Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, The Return of the Condor Heroes, Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber and The Deer and The Cauldron etc. And the vididly-depicted characters with various temperaments like Guo Jing, Huang Rong, Qiao Feng, Zhang Wuji, Yang Guo, Xiaolongnv and many others are widely popular across the world thanks to the spread of the Chinese language.
