The Legend of the Condor Heroes is a representative work as well as the most-read one of the renowned wuxia novelist Jin Yong. The story has also been adapted into numerous movies and TV plays.

Set in the late Southern Song Dynasty, the novel has Guo Jing, an innately pure and honest man, as the main hero. Guo's actions serve as a thread of the novel, joining together Chinese historical stories and swordsmen in other places. With complicated and grand scenes, the novel bears the typical style of "heroic epics".
