Located in Ningbo, the Exhibition Hall of Mahjong's Birthplace is the familial ancestral hall of Chen Zhengyao, the inventor of Mahjong. The hall is divided into three parts, namely, "History and Culture of Mahjong", "Mahjong and Ningbo" and "Exhibition of Mahjong All Over the World", accompanied by two Chess & Card Rooms respectively in Chinese and western style as well as a sculpture of "You Are the Fourth" (three people waiting for the last one to join the game), revealing visitors the history and development of Mahjong and the full story of the game since its creation. |
