Nanjing Cloud-Pattern Brocade
Metallic thread in Nanjing is a traditional craftwork with a history of a thousand years and the origin of Nanjing cloud-pattern brocade can be traced back to 1,580 years ago. It is known as cloud-pattern brocade because its woven pattern is as beautiful and diversified as clouds in the sky. The Nanjing cloud-pattern brocade, together with Chengdu Shu brocade (or Sichuan brocade), Suzhou Song Dynasty brocade and Guangxi Zhuang brocade are called the "Four Famous Brocades in China".
