Lotus in the Breeze in the Curved Courtyard

This is another one of the 10 attractions of West Lake. The place used to be the site of Hongchunqiao Government Brewery in the Southern Song dynasty. The brewery was moved to the shore of Yue Lake during the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1662-1722) of the Qing dynasty. The place is now a garden with lotus flowers as its special feature.

Located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the West Lake is also known as Qiantanghu Lake in ancient times and as "Xizi Lake" and "Wulin Water" currently. It was formed under the effect of silt deposition in the Qiantang River.
