Three Pools Mirroring the Moon

This is one of the 10 attractions of West Lake. On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, candles are lit in the stone lamp posts in the Three Pools, and the holes are covered with paper. When the candle lights are reflected in the lake, they present a wonderful picture of "a moon in the sky and three more in the lake."

Located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the West Lake is also known as Qiantanghu Lake in ancient times and as "Xizi Lake" and "Wulin Water" currently. It was formed under the effect of silt deposition in the Qiantang River.
