Guanlin is the burial place of Guan Yu's head, the famous general of the Shu State in the Three Kingdoms Period. The Guanlin Temple was first built in the Tang Dynasty, and the existing building is the one renovated in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It's an ancient complex in neat formation with distinctive features, and also one of the three major temples built for Guan Yu. |
