In unison with the rest of the country over the past six decades, Chinese dancers have whirled and soared along a stylish path. Next we take a retrospective look at sixty years of dance in China, and catch a glimpse of the beautiful silhouette that Chinese dancers have left in the minds of their audiences.

Established in 1990, Ningbo Song and Dance Ensemble has a staff team of 60 people at average age of 22, all graduates from professional art school. The ensemble has a dance team, folk band, orchestra and artistic dance team, plus a MIDI studio equipped with advanced facilities.

OCT Theater located in Beijing Happy Valley, OCT, which invested 200 million yuan into building the Theater for the play. The OCT Theater's stage is flexible, and can be rotated to different heights and angles. This theater was specially designed for the large-scale show.

Situated at Dongmianhua Hutong, just off Nanluoguxiang in Beijing's theater district, Peng Hao Theater is one of first privately owned and operated professional theater in Beijing. The Exhibition Theater was the first big-scaled, comprehensive exhibition venue in Beijing. With a total area of 200,000 sq. meters, The building is housed within the exhibition center in Xizhimen and is a great example of old Russian architecture.

Chest slapping dancing is one of the most typical folk dances in Fujian Province. The dance is simple, and involves only one or two dancers. The dancers are exclusively male, and dance in bare feet, naked from the waist up.

Guangdong Song and Dance Theater is a professional state-run performing group affiliated with the Cultural Bureau of South China's Guangdong Province. The theater was first established as the South China Arts Ensemble in 1949.

Guangdong Modern Dance Company is mainland China's first professional modern dance company.Internationally renowned for its exquisite and captivating performances, the company was founded in June, 1992 under the auspices of the Department of Culture of Guangdong Province.

The Xinghai Concert Hall is the best concert venue in Guangzhou. It is named after Xian Xinghai, a renowned Chinese composer, who was just born in Guangzhou. The Hall consists of three parts, a symphony performing Hall with 1500 seats, a Chamber Music Hall and a Music Material Room.
